Forex – Types of Transactions

The world of Forex is very exciting and happening place, where the market is open 24 hours a day and five days a week. During this time, hundreds of thousands of transactions takes place with amounts to billions of dollars every day. In forex, there are primarily four type of transactions forward transaction, future transaction, swaps and spot transaction. In these types of transactions, all operations have an inherent element of risk. So one must always remembers the fact, that if it is true that you can earn in Forex, it is equally possible that you might lose and therefore, be prepared for it. The first type of transaction is the forward transaction, in which the parties agree to make the transaction to take place at a certain date, with a predetermined rate at the time of the contract: Obviously, if at that precise moment in time, the exchange rate will be higher than agreed, the buyer will gain, and if, lower, then the seller will be the one who will earn. Another type of transaction is the Future transaction , which follows the same mechanism as that of forward transaction, but the amounts and timing of that investment are standard (the deadline is usually equal to three months) and can not be waived by the parties. A third category of operations are called swaps, in which the parties exchange currencies and are committed to reverse the transaction at a future date. Last type of transaction is the spot transaction, where the timeout operation is much narrower (equal to two days). If you decide to try your hand at this form of investment, remember to rely on a serious professional, who can clearly set out the characteristics and risks of each transaction and that does not tie your money for too long.
